MOE’s Requirements for Overseas Families & Homeschoolers – Singaporeans Must Read!
I put up this page for homeschooling Singapore parents who are here in Shanghai or anywhere else in the world except in Singapore.
Please take note of these requirements by the Ministry of Education when you are staying overseas with your child or homeschooling them.
Boys from age 13 and above need to submit bank bonds and Exit Permit while residing overseas. If you want to be accountable to MOE on the syllabi used by your child, you may do so, though it is not required as far as I know. You can download the MOE syllabi from the MOE and send back to them for approval.If you have registered with a school in Singapore, you’ll need to submit LOA (Leave of Absence) while schooling/ home schooling here.
